Review of JVC TK-C2301WPRE CCTV Dome Camera

JVC’s new day/night TK-C2301WPRE CCTV dome camera coming with14-T5-TK-C2301-mainbit second generation DSP and featuring industry-leading S/N ratio of 52 dB and glare-free IR imaging up to a distance of 5m puts everything you’d want from a surveillance camera into a stylish design. The processor implements various technologies that can improve the quality of video of the camera in various light conditions. So, to send a high-contrast video in low light, such as at dusk, TK-C2301WPRE uses proprietary Super LoLux technology  which retains the color of objects of observation, while the other analogues are no longer able to distinguish between them.

To work in a wide range of lighting conditions the new JVC cameras have a day/night feature, which is implemented in hardware and provides detailed video footage in color black and white up to 0.05 / 0.006 lx (50%, F1, 2). For the 27/7 video operation (including in the dark) the camera’s equipped with LED IR illuminator with a range of lights up to 20 meters, which is configured  not to have an effect of exposure when people approach within 5 meters both in the process of monitoring and viewing recorded video they can be easily identified.

The standards of TK-C2301WPRE  generally meet or exceed the requirements of most international standards such as IP66, and stably operates at temperatures from -10 ° to +50 ° C, and set to cover the optional heater operating temperature chamber up to -30 ° C. Besides, the case of the camera has high strengths and protects the electronics and lens from willful mechanical effects. In addition, TK-C2301WPRE consumes not much power, saving up to 40% and providing continuous monitoring of up to 93 000 hours.

Built-in varifocal lens allows the camera to choose the focal lengths in the range of 2.8 (F1.2) ~ 10.5 (F3.6) mm and angles from 100 ° to 24 °, and adjust its focus either electronically or manually. Electronically - Focus Adjustment Mode - the lens aperture fully opens for 30 seconds, during which the CCTV Dome camera  is being focused temporarily reducing the depth of field. To adjust the lens manually in a correct way TK-C2301WPRE uses a proprietary mechanism JVC Fine Focus Adjustment, which provides the observation of objects with specific lighting.

The most advanced  dynamic range ExDR Plus (Extended Dynamic Range)function implemented in the TK-C2301WPRE will form a detailed video with backlight, which can occur when using the camera in front of windows, glass doors, etc. Moreover, when combined ExDR Plus, and AGC (Automatic Gain Control) the camera provides a clear view of the individual parts across the frame. Also the new cameras include three-dimensional noise filter 3D DNR and effectively remove noise and artifacts in the image, tire the eyes of the operator monitoring system and impair the quality of the video.

As the security industry moves into a world of high definition imaging, JVC  is at the leading edge of this transition with high resolution IP-based video surveillance solutions. From Super LoLux HD cameras to high quality professional monitors, JVC continues to deliver products with exceptional power, performance and reliability.
