How to choose the right camera your for DVR Surveillance System?

Most types of cameras are using the same video chip. The difference between the types of cameras is only the CCTV-Camera-Remotely-Monitored-300x300 housing, the lens, and the power it requires to operate. Choosing the right camera for DVR  is a complicated process. There are 6 types of camera styles: bullet camera, infrared cameras, dome cameras, C-Mount cameras, hidden cameras, and PTZ-cameras. This guide  will introduce each type of camera, as well will provide links to a detailed analysis of each type of CCTV camera.
Bullet Cameras
Bullet security cameras are  small, lightweight and  very adaptive security cameras. Featuring interchangeable  lenses that can easily adapt to any situation, bullet cameras are often considered as masters of all trades. They can stand at some extreme conditions such as heat, cold, rain, and even hurricane conditions, and therefore are often used outside.Bullet security cameras are always a good choice as they can be used in almost, any situation, and the bullet chamber is often the most economical purchase.
Infrared Security Cameras
Infrared security cameras measure infrared radiation, that allows them to capture video in complete darkness. This is the same technology used in night version stars.Infrared security cameras change the infrared part of the black and white images An infrared camera can be used only in the evening as the sunlight will wash out  sensor capable of storing heat.Infrared security cameras and infrared technology usually are  not  used near reflective surfaces, such as, windows, fishtanks, furniture, doors, spray, and even some interior paint gloss.
Dome Security Cameras
Dome security cameras are usually mounting from the ceiling.  These are very low cost, tamper proof security cameras with power shields, and are usually installed inside. Their small size restricts their zoom capabilities, so you can’t expect from  dome cameras to capture clear videos from 300 feet. Dome security camera systems are very versatile, with vandal-proof, weatherproof, day/night, and various combinations readily available and are used in medical offices, hospitals, fast food chains, and other small offices.
C-Mount Cameras
C-Mount security cameras are known as the first security cameras invented. Modern cameras and lenses are generally CS mount rather than C mount. The advantage to a c-mount camera is that the lens can be changed. If you need to see further than 35 or 40 ft then you'll need a c-mount camera with a special lens. C-Mount lenses are available from 4mm to 50mm. C-mount cameras are used essentially in large businesses such as  government buildings and banks.
Hidden cameras
Hidden or spy cameras are cameras designed designed to film people without their knowledge. The camera is "hidden" because it is either not visible to the subject being filmed, or is disguised as another object.Hidden cameras are sometimes look like another product such as a clock, air freshener, or other objects.
PTZ Security Cameras
PTZ stands for Pan, Tilt, and Zoom. These security cameras allow users to remotely control them by software or a joystick, and  move them left to right, up and down, and zoom in and out.
PTZ security cameras offer the ability to point the camera's viewing area to a specific action and can clearly capture licenses, plates and faces from over 900 feet away.PTZ domes also come in a variety of configurations, including weatherproof and day/night versions.
